AZ Alkmaar Form 


AZ Alkmaar have notched three points from their opening two Europa League games this season. The Dutch outfit beat Elfsborg 3-2 and lost 2-0 at Athletic Bilbao.


The loss in Bilbao was part of Alkmaar’s current four-match losing run, with seven goals conceded. Maarten Martens’ team also suffered a 2-1 loss to Utrecht and a 1-0 defeat to Fortuna Sittard.


Alkmaar lost 2-1 against PSV Eindhoven on Saturday and were second-best with 5-17 shots and 25% possession. The Cheese Farmers were 2-0 down after 22 minutes and Denso Kasius scored a 90th-minute consolation.
