  • Stoke have lost 3 of their last 4 away games.

Head to Head

Southampton have a 35-31 advantage against Stoke in 81 meetings with 15 draws.

Southampton Form

Southampton reached the EFL Cup round of 16 after eliminating Cardiff with a 5-3 win and Everton on penalties.

The Saints drew 1-1 with Ipswich following the Everton triumph. Russell Martin’s side lost their following four league games at Bournemouth, Arsenal and at home against Leicester.

Another defeat came at Man City on Saturday as Southampton suffered a 1-0 loss. The Saints conceded after four minutes and attempted five shots in response.

Southampton Injuries

Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, striker Ross Stewart and midfielder Will Smallbone won’t feature due to injury.

Stoke Form

The Potters are struggling in the Championship, sitting 19th after failing to win in six of their last seven. Stoke are winless in four and drew three in a row against Swansea 0-0, Norwich 1-1 and Bristol City 2-2.

This run of stalemates ended for Narcís Pelach’s outfit with a 2-0 loss at Sheffield United. The Potters faced 19 shots, had just 41% possession and conceded once in either half.
