Lille started the new Champions League campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Sporting in Lisbon, but bounced back at home by defeating the reigning European champions Real Madrid 1-0, Jonathan David converting a penalty in the first half.

Samuel Umtiti and Ismaily are recovering from knee injuries, while Hakon Haraldsson is sidelined due to a foot injury.
