Brighton vs Wolves Preview

Brighton sealed impressive back-to-back wins against tough opponents Tottenham and Newcastle in their last two. Wolves are really struggling at the foot of the Premier League table and a home win is the best bet here.

  • Brighton have won 2 consecutive matches.

  • Brighton have won 5 of their previous 7 against Wolves.

  • Wolves have lost 6 matches in a row.

Head to Head

Brighton have a 20-9 advantage against Wolves in 44 meetings with 15 draws. The Seagulls beat Wolves 3-2 when the sides met in the EFL Cup in September.

Brighton Form

Fabian Hürzeler’s Brighton have made an excellent start to the 2024/25 Premier League and are fifth in the standings. The South Coast outfit have lost once in their first eight matches and won four.

A rare Brighton defeat came from a 4-2 loss at Chelsea, ending a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions. The Seagulls have responded with two wins, starting with a 3-2 comeback victory over Tottenham.

Hürzeler’s team recorded another win over a top-half opponent, beating Newcastle 1-0 away on Saturday. Danny Welbeck hit the winner on 34 minutes and Brighton saw out all three points.

Brighton Injuries

Midfield trio Solly March, Matt O'Riley and James Milner are injured and won’t be available.

Forward Joao Pedro and defender Adam Webster are also sidelined through injury.

Wolves Form

Wolves are rock bottom of the Premier League after securing one point from eight fixtures. Wanderers are 20th on goal difference due to conceding 23 goals already.

Gary O’Neil’s outfit took their sole point from a 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest in late August. The Old Gold have since lost five consecutive league matches.

The Midlands side lost again after the international break and fell to a 2-1 home defeat to Man City. Jørgen Strand Larsen struck early before Wolves conceded in the first half and let in a 94th-minute winner.

Wolves Injuries

Forwards Hee-Chan Hwang, Sasa Kalajdzic, and Enso Gonzalez are unavailable with respective long-term injuries.

Defender Yerson Mosquera and midfielder Boubacar Traore are also ruled out.
