Bengaluru vs Punjab Predictions

Both teams are in excellent early-season form, and we should see plenty of chances at both ends.

BTTS is my top tip for Friday's ISL encounter in Bangalore.

  • Bengaluru have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 5 matches against Punjab

  • Punjab have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 matches

  • Punjab have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 10 away matches (ISL)

Head to Head

Bengaluru and Punjab have faced each other on five previous occasions. Bengaluru won two of those matches, while Punjab claimed their first win with a 3-1 success earlier this year.

Bengaluru Form

Bengaluru's perfect start to the ISL campaign was halted with a 0-0 draw against Mumbai City before the recent international break.

Gerard Zaragoza's side picked up successive home victories against East Bengal, Hyderabad and Mohun Bagan before the stalemate at Mumbai Football Arena.

Four games into the ISL season, the Blues sit at the top of the division with ten points collected.

Bengaluru Team News

Head coach Zaragoza has no reported injury issues ahead of Friday's encounter with Punjab. Argentine forward Jorge Pereyra Díaz could return to the starting XI after a 45-minute substitute appearance against Mumbai.

Punjab Form

An in-form Punjab arrive in Bangalore looking to maintain their impressive 100% winning ISL record. The Shers made it three wins from three with a 2-0 win against Hyderabad in their last runout over three weeks ago.

Panagiotis Dilberis's side have a strong recent away record in this division, recording four wins while losing just one of their last seven road fixtures.

Punjab Team News

Head coach Dilberis will likely retain faith in the Same XI that eased to a 2-0 win against Hyderabad last month.

Slovenian forward Luka Majcen could return to the matchday squad this weekend.
