  • Beijing Guoan won 9 of their last 11 home matches

  • Beijing Guoan have seen over 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 9 home victories

  • Qingdao Hainiu lost 6 of their last 8 away matches (CSL)

  • Qingdao Hainiu have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 4 away defeats

Head to Head

Beijing Guoan and Qingdao Hainiu have faced each other on 25 previous occasions since 2004. Beijing have the historical edge, scoring 14 wins to Qingdao's four.

Beijing Guoan Form

Beijing face their first CSL fixture since a sensational 8-1 win against Changchun Yatai three weeks ago. Four goals scored in each half secured a record-breaking win for Ricardo Soares' side.

The Imperial Guards have an excellent record at Workers Stadium. Soares's side won nine and lost only two of 13 CSL games played on home soil this season.

With only three games to play in the CSL season, Beijing sit fourth in the division, nine points behind third-placed Chengdu Rongcheng.

Beijing Guoan Team News

Beijing boss Soares is likely to keep faith with the same XI that thumped Changchun Yatai three weeks ago. The hosts have no new injury issues however, Nebijan Muhmet remains a long-term absentee.

Qingdao Hainiu Form

Qingdao Hainiu arrive in Beijing after suffering back-to-back CSL defeats before the recent international break. The Sea Bull slipped to a 2-1 setback at bottom-of-the-table Nantong Zhiyun before a 1-0 home reversal against table-toppers Shanghai Shenhua.

Yasen Petrov's out-of-form side lost four and won just one of their last six league fixtures.

Now 13th in the 16-team division, Hainiu find themselves only three points above the relegation zone.

Qingdao Hainiu Team News

Hainiu head coach Petrov has no reported injury issues ahead of Saturday's trip to Beijing. The Bulgarian boss could retain faith in the same XI that put in a spirited display in the narrow loss against Shanghai Shenhua last month.
