Armenia vs North Macedonia Preview

North Macedonia are close to securing direct promotion to Nations League B and they would be happy with a draw here. Armenia won just three of their last ten games at home, so I am backing these sides to share the spoils.

  • Armenia are winless in 7 of their last 10 home matches.

  • Armenia are winless in 5 of their last 6 matches against North Macedonia.

  • North Macedonia have drawn 4 of their last 8 away matches (Nations League).

Head to Head

North Macedonia have a 7-4 advantage against Armenia with 3 draws in 14 matches.

They last met in September, the game being won by North Macedonia 2-0.

Armenia Form

After starting the new UEFA Nations League edition with a 4-1 home win against Latvia, Armenia suffered a 2-0 defeat in the second round to North Macedonia.

Another disappointment was witnessed on Thursday, barely winning a point at Faroe Islands 2-2 with Lucas Zelarrayan and Gor Manvelyan finding equlizers.

Oleksandr Petrakov’s side is currently sitting in 2nd place on the table with four points, three points short of the leaders North Macedonia with three rounds left to be played.

North Macedonia Form

North Macedonia are topping their Nations League C group after collecting seven points in their opening three encounters.

They kicked things off with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Faroe Islands on the road, Enis Bardhi scoring an equalizer early in the second half.

North Macedonia then claimed a 2-0 home victory against Armenia despite Gojko Zajkov being sent off just before the break. Both goals came in the second half with Bardhi and Bojan Miovski appearing on the scoresheet.

The Lynxes were also victorious on Thursday, beating Latvia 3-0 in Riga, gaining first-half lead through Jani Atanasov. Lirim Qamili doubled the lead in 70th minute, the final result set by Eljif Elmas in stoppage time.
