Antalyaspor vs Galatasaray Preview

Antalyaspor haven’t caused any problems for Galatasaray for more than two years. Hosts are currently in poor form, so I am predicting visitors to claim all three points at Corendon Airlines Park. Galatasaray rarely keep their net intact on the road, so an away win & BTTS is a value bet.

  • Antalyaspor have lost their last 2 matches.

  • Antalyaspor have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 home matches (Super Lig).

  • Galatasaray have won their last 4 matches against Antalyaspor.

  • Galatasaray have won 8 of their last 9 matches (Super Lig).

  • Galatasaray have seen BTTS in their last 7 away matches.

Head to Head

Galatasaray have a 40-8 advantage against Antalyaspor with 18 draws in 66 matches.

They last met in February, the game being won by Galatasaray 2-1.

Antalyaspor Form

Antalyaspor are playing under expectations in the new Super Lig campaign, collecting just eight points in eight matches and sit in 14th place, two positions above the relegation zone.

Their recent form has been very poor, losing to Rizespor 2-1 earlier this month with Adolfo Gaich scoring a late consolation goal.

Earlier in September, Antalyaspor also lost to Fenerbahce 2-0, while the contest against Kasimpasa ended without goals.

Antalyaspor Injuries & Team News

Bunyamin Balci suffered an injury last week, Mert Yilmaz expected to take his place.

Emrecan Uzunhan and Erdal Rakip are also ruled out.

Galatasaray Form

Galatasaray claimed 22 out of possible 24 points in eight rounds so far, deservedly sitting top of the Super Lig table four points ahead of Samsunspor.

Cimbom played just one league match this month, earning a 1-0 home victory against Alanyaspor with Yunus Akgun scoring the only goal in 28th minute.

Their other Super Lig results in September include a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa, and three victories against Fenerbahce 3-1, Gaziantep 3-1 and Rizespor 5-0.

Okan Buruk’s side also had a good start to the Europa League group stages, beating PAOK 3-1 at home, followed by a 2-2 draw against Rigas FS in Latvia.

Galatasaray Injuries & Team News

One of Galatasaray’s key players Baris Alper Yilmaz is doubtful after suffering a minor muscle injury.

Ali Yesilyurt is also injured but wasn’t expected to start here.
