AC Milan vs Club Brugge Preview

Club Brugge’s last seven games in Belgium have been full of action and goals. AC Milan have to be aggressive here after losing both UCL games, so I expect a high-scoring affair at San Siro.

  • AC Milan have seen over 2.5 goals in 12 of their last 14 matches.

  • Club Brugge have seen BTTS in their last 4 matches (First Division A).

  • Club Brugge have seen over 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 away matches (First Division A).

Head to Head

This is going to be the third head to head match between AC Milan and Club Brugge.

The first one was won by Club Brugge in October 2003 by Club Brugge 1-0, while AC Milan won the second meeting 1-0 two weeks later.

AC Milan Form

After starting this month with a 2-1 loss to Fiorentina at Artemio Franchi, AC Milan bounced back in Serie A by defeating Udinese 1-0 last weekend.

The only goalscorer was Samuel Chukwueze in 13th minute, while Tijani Reijnders was sent off just 15 minutes later.

Rossoneri had an awful start to the UEFA Champions League group stages, suffering a 3-1 home loss to Liverpool despite being ahead after just three minutes of play, Christian Pulisic finding the net.

They failed to recover in the second round in Germany, losing 1-0 to the reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. AC Milan had 1.17-3.23 expected goals, 52% possession and 17-16 shots in that match.

AC Milan Injuries & Team News

Ismael Bennacer, Alessandro Florenzi and Davide Calabria are ruled out for this match due to injuries.

Club Brugge Form

Club Brugge were in poor form when it comes to Belgian First Division A in late September and early October, claiming just two points from their matches against Gent (lost 4-2), Sporting Charleroi and Union St Gilloise (1-1 draws).

That winless run was finally interrupted last weekend with tight 2-1 victory at Westerlo, Jorne Spileers and Hans Vanaken finding the net in the first half.

The Blue and Blacks started the Champions League group stages with a disappointing 3-0 home loss to Borussia Dortmund but bounced back in the second round by beating Sturm Graz 1-0 in Austria, Christos Tzolis being the sole scorer.

Club Brugge Injuries & Team News

Gustaf Nilsson and Casper Nielsen recovered from injuries and will probably start on bench.

Starting striker Andreas Skov Olsen is ruled out.
